This assignment was for my media psychology class. It gave me a way to study psychology in everyday life. I analyzed an episode of “Friends” in order to compare disputes with female and male friend groups. I had to categorize certain problems in order to create broader groups to discuss. I then had to interpret why these happened. This project helped me develop my research skills and find meaning in television shows that I used to watch for pure entertainment. Now they can be used to educate me. The target audience can be anyone who wants to understand why and how disputes within your friend group can happen. However, the types of friends would have to be closer than just acquaintances.
